NH67SW 12 unlocated.

In September 1715 there was a Skirmish at Alness between the MacKenzies, MacDonalds and other Jacobite clans, under the Earl of Seaforth, and the Earl of Sutherland at the head of the Munros, Rosses, MacKays and other Whig clans. The Earl of Sutherland's forces were driven over Struie to Bonar.
