Whitburn Academy, Shanks Road, 1967, Wheeler & Sproson
Simplicity of the four-storey teaching block on columns attracts attention, with its interlocking storey-height, precast-concrete panels, with ribbed spandrels. Much original character lost through the Public Private Partnership improvement scheme, RMJM, 2001.
