Activities

Watching Brief (14 August 2012 - 16 August 2012)

NT 25918 74529 A watching brief was carried out 14–16 August 2012 on Hart Street Lane, 17m NW of 10 Forth Street, prior to the construction of a house. The only archaeological remains recorded were probably Georgian/Victorian in date and associated with the construction of the New Town in the early 19th century. They consisted of levelling deposits and features associated with the construction of tenements, and included a stone box drain and a well.
