Present location: at Drummond Farm, Evanton

Evidence for discovery: said possibly to have been found in Skye in the twentieth century.

Present condition: broken and worn.

Description

This fragment is the upper part of a cross-slab carved in relief with very similar crosses on both broad faces. The crosses are ringed and the side- and upper arms project beyond the ring and beyond the edges of the slab. There are raised bosses within the sunken areas between the arms and in the centre of the cross.

The fragment of a cross-slab, in the possession of Mr Allan Moore, Drummond, Evanton, is said to have been 'collected by his late Mother possibly from Skye'.

Information from Dr J Close-Brooks, 6 North Head, Milford-on-Sea, Hants., to RCAHMS 1984.
