Archaeology Notes

NT45NE 34 4584 5759

An archaeological desk-based assessment and field inspection was undertaken in advance of a proposed wind farm project. Previously known sites include the Roman road Dere Street, and a number of sheepfolds. The newly discovered sites include a range of agricultural features such as farmsteads and field banks.
