Archaeology Notes

HU56SW 7 5456 6197.

HU 544 618. The foundation of a small, round cairn, 25' across, which stood on a hill-shoulder at Peightshoose.

J Stewart 1956.

No trace of a cairn at HU 544 618, but at HU 5455 6197 a scatter of loose stones possibly form a circle c.7.0m diameter. This does not appear to be a cairn but may be the foundation referred to by Stewart.
