Architecture Notes

In the National Library of Scotland, in a series of Water Colour Sketches by Thomas Brown, Advocate, is a sketch of the Close, in Vol. I., No. 34. Reference "Adv. MSS. 34.8.1-3".

Plainstanes Close now demolished. There is a plaque on the wall of the replacement building to indicate that Plainstances Close once stood there.
