Archaeology Notes

NH63SE 34 651 327.

'A' NH 6510 3278. Situated on top of a low ridge is a stone-walled hut circle. It measures internally 7.0m E-W by 6.0m within a double-faced wall of mainly upright slabs. The wall width varies from 1.0m to 1.8m.

A large fallen door slab lies on the S side of the entrance.

'B' NH 6510 3270. Lying in a hollow are the denuded remains of a probable hut circle. Walling is visible on the NE and W quandrants giving on over all diameter of 14.5m and there is no apparent entrance. A small number of small clearance cairns lie nearby.

'C' NH 6508 3264. This hut circle lies on a low ridge and measures internally 9.5m in diamter within walling obscured by peat and heather. The entrance is on the E.
