A township comprising twenty-four roofed buildings, including a mill [NB32SE 4], a church and a manse, one partially roofed building, which is annotated as a School, eight unroofed buildings, six of which are annotated as Ruins, a field-system and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1852, sheet 32). This site is located within the modern crofting towns of Keose and Keose Glebe as shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
