Screening: 3 tables [equipmwnr for the grading of coal by size] and tipplers [rotary device for the emptying tubs or mine cars onto screens or down a chute to a conveyor or waiting transport]. Campbell Binnie Reid washer [mechanical equipment for the wet cleaning of coal]. Canteen (pieces), no baths. Ambulance room. All electricity AC, and generated at colliery. Report dated 19-08-1948.

[Please note: 'pieces' is a colloquialism for sandwiches].
