Glaxo works, a pharmaceuticals factory, has been recorded from aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1994). It is situated SE of Newbiebarns on the N bank of the River Eden and just SW of Newbie Boiler Works (NY16NE 148). The site is not depicted on the current paper edition of the
OS 1:10 000 map (1973).
