This mine was operated by Alloa Coal Company, opened in 1939, and closed in 1948. It comprised a main mine and an airway mine from the surface. The Fife Mining Heritage Preservation Society noted (1996) that surface buildings remain and are used by local farmer.

Details in 1948: Output 48 tons per day, 13,500 per annum. 36 employees. No washer, no canteen or baths. Electricity AC, supplied by Fife Electric Power Company, all public supply. Report dated 20-08-1948.

Other Details: The last mine to be opened by the Alloa Coal Company, and the first to be closed by the National Coal Board (NCB) after nationalisation in 1947.
