Archaeology Notes

HU56NE 19 551 654

A boat-shaped setting of stones c.3m long and 1.5m broad, very similar to the Viking grave identified by Hamilton on Linga West Isthmus, with pointed stem and bow.

Field Visit (23 May 2015)

Possible feature noted consisting of low subrectangular earthworks, c5m by 4m, with two edge set stones protruding on the east side. Approx 10m from the coast edge not eroding.
