Accessing Scotland's Past Project

This small church, which is located by the Burn of Tornaish, was probably built in the early nineteenth century.

It is a simple, rubble-built, rectangular structure, with a small porch to the west and a single-storeyed, harled cottage standing at right angles to the east end.

The New Statistical Account, published in 1845, recorded that a service was performed here once every three weeks.
