Loch Katrine scheme (Muylle Id=1): This jetty or quay supports one end of a bridge which is in turn supported on a landing stage. The whole has typical gates and fencing of Glasgow Corporation Waterworks design. It dates from the raising of Loch Katrine at the time of the completion of the second aqueduct in 1896, and now serves as a calling point for the Sir Walter Scott steam ship.

Information from Jelle Muylle, engineer carrying out a survey of all structures relating to the Glasgow Corporation Loch Katrine Waterworks Scheme, 2006.
