Archaeology Notes

NT96SW 114 9294 6048

This intermediate station on the Edinburgh - Berwick-on-Tweed (main) line of the (former) North British Rly, which forms the northern portion of the East Coast Main Line, was opened on 22 June 1846. The station closed to regular passenger traffic on 5 February 1962 but the line remains in use.
