Archaeology Notes

NH54SE 18 5536 4046

At NH 5536 4046, set into a NE-facing slope, is a circular stone-walled hut measuring c. 8.0m in diameter between the centres of a wall spread to c. 2.5m all round. The "simple" entrance in the NE is mutilated. Several stone clearance heaps around the hut are probably from contemporary plots.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (R L) 14 April 1970
