According to the 1975 Ordnance Survey 1:10000 map, a small roofless structure stands about 450m south-west from Crofts of Achmore farmstead. The building appears as a roofless ruin on the 2nd edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map of Banffshire (1903-1905) but does not appear on the 1st edition 6-inch map (1872).

A farmstead depicted on the 2nd Edition OS map. The remains appear more substantial than those shown on the map. Approximately 10m to the SW are the ploughed-out remains of a smaller stone-built structure which may have been a kiln. The ground to the W is marked as improved on the 1st Edition OS map but depicted as waste on the 2nd Edition. The area is well cleared and would have made reasonable arable ground (NJ23SE 29).

Two hollow-ways converge on an area of apparent quarrying SE of a farmstead (see above). The hollow-way heading SW appears to represent the track depicted on the 1st Edition OS map (absent from the 2nd Edition). A second (better preserved) hollow-way goes round an area of improved fields in a north-easterly direction.
