Archaeology Notes

NJ41SW 64 4129 1331

The remains of a large cairn are situated on the W side of a saddle in a ridge aligned WNW and ESE between the River Don to the N and the Deskry Water to the S. The cairn measures 24m in diameter and 0.6m in height over a mass of small boulders and stones; it appears to have been heavily robbed, but a number of large boulders on the SW side may be original kerbstones.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 3 October 1997.
