Archaeology Notes

NS87NE 56 885 799

'Falkirk arrowhead'. A barbed-and-tanged (flint) arrowhead which is said to have been found (at an unstated date) at the 'old West Manse garden' is held in Falkirk Museum under accession number 1085. It was found mounted on a silver brooch, and shows corresponding evidence of wear against the dress.

The 'old West Manse Garden' is probably that associated with the manse in West Bridge Street, rather than that in Camelon Road, Tamfourhill (NS 858 797).

NMRS, MS/958/8.
