Incorporates information from cancelled site HY63NW 64

The Post Office radio station and telephone exchange situated at The Wart is visible on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1997), 150m SE of Warsetter farmsteading (HY63NW 44). The mast and buildings lie within a fenced enclosure of two phases. The earlier rectangular enclosure matches that depicted on the current OS 1:10000 scale map (1974) which also shows a series of masts on the S side of the single storey buildings. The photographs show that the enclosure is now smaller and irregular shaped, whilst the masts have been replaced by a single lattice structure on the N side of the buildings.
