The burial-ground of the Cassie family of Whitestripes comprises a circular mound of stones and boulders; it measures about 7.5m in diameter and 1m in height, and is enclosed by a dry-stone revetment wall. A single red sandstone grave-marker of 18th century date, which has broken into at least seven pieces, lies on the top of the mound. The burial-ground is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxvi) but has been omitted from the modern 1:10,000 map.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, AJW), 26 March 1997.
