Archaeology Notes

NJ71NW 57 7072 1978

Nothing is visible of a farmstead, comprising three roofed buildings and a yard, which is depicted on Walker and Beattie's estate plan of 1838 in what is now a cultivated field. It appears to have been removed before 1869 when it was omitted from the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire, sheet liv, 1869).
