About half a mile north of Boblaine (Boblainy: NH 4939) there are the remains of a circle of stones, eight of which are still in position. The circle, when complete, would be about 13 yards in diameter. There are several others very indistinctly marked in its immediate neighbourhood.

Femnock Wood NH c.493 401 NH44SE 6
The circle of stones 'about·half a mile (800m) north of Boblaine' mentioned by Wallace, was situated in Femnock Wood but cannot now be located; the circle measured about 12m in diameter and consisted of eight stones. The nature of this structure, or the 'others very indistinctly marked' close by, is uncertain, although they were possibly the remains
of an unenclosed settlement.
