ARCHITECT: William Adam, 1738
The Royal Infirmary bought the site from the Merchant Company, in 1870. The building was partially demolished, and the remainder incorporated into the new Infirmary buildings. The Governors of George Watson's Hospital took over the neighbouring Merchant Maiden Hospital, and created 'George Watson's Boys College'.
