St Charles' RC Church, 9 Kelvinside Gardens, 1959, Gillespie, Kidd & Coia
Original plan by Coia, developed by Andy MacMillan. Elegant modern church on dramatic hillside site. Rustic brick, clerestory lighting, exposed concrete frame and tall freestanding skeletal belltower. Sanctuary lamp and modelled terracotta frieze of Stations of the Cross on concrete beam inside, both Benno Schotz.
