NX44SW 56.24 4449 4028

(24) Small broken slab found at Elrig, Mochrum parish.

the only ornamented face has a cross with expanded arms, filled with a continuous interlaced pattern. On the shaft of the cross is a panel of frets, framed with a cable moulding.

The slab is of the 10th century, but the purpose of this small monument is uncertain.
