Architecture Notes

Depicted on the coloured 1st edition of the O.S. 1:1056 scale map (Edinburgh and its Environs, 1854, sheet 36).

This is known as the birth place of Sir Walter Scott.

His Majesty's General Register House, Record Office, Edinburgh contains an old plan of houses between College Wynd, Horse Wynd and Bakehouse Yards. Reference "16 B.....584" Scale about 12 feet to 1 inch.
