The farmstead of East Corriehoul lies on the east side of the Corriehoul Burn overlooking the River Don from the north.
A comparison of the first and second editions of the OS six-inch map reveals that the farmstead was remodelled in the late nineteenth century and the two roofed buildings shown in 1869 were replaced by three buildings by 1902. The layout of the present farmstead mirrors that shown on the second edition of the map.
