The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Ballachulish Bay is not specifically noted on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the text of the Hydrographic Office entry to NMRS NN06SW 8001 suggests that the name applies to the area of Loch Linnhe in front of North Ballachulish village [North Ballachulish: NN 080 585] and to the N of the entrance to Loch Leven.
