There appear to be the remains of a large cairn a few yards to the south of the forestry road and near a quarry. Further up, the forestry road has cut through a hut circle to the right, where the road takes a swing to the left.

NH 598 427 (centre) A rapid archaeological survey was undertaken on the site of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme. The survey was partially limited due to existing planting and harvesting. No sites other than those previously recorded were noted.
