Watching Brief (15 June 2013 - 20 August 2014)
NH 604 237 A watching brief was carried out, 15 June – 20 August 2014, during groundworks associated with construction work at Dunmaglass Wind Farm. Surveys undertaken prior to the groundwork had identified a number of archaeological sites. These were demarcated to protect them during construction. Site 28 was surveyed in detail and mitigation measures put in place to protect the site in situ.

A township comprising one unroofed, five roofed buildings and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xlii). Two unroofed buildings and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
