The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map does not note Black Rock or Rocks as such but depicts what are presumably the rocks thus named at NR 453 633.
It remains uncertain whether this vessel stranded or foundered: the latter appears the more probable.
