Archaeology Notes

HU44SE 90 HU 48110 40503

HU 4811 4050. A concrete torpedo tube platform is situated on the shoreline c.10m SE of the cemetery, N of The Knab. A large concrete base was built onto the rocks on top of which 3 torpedo tubes were mounted. The Knab platform formed part of the defences of Lerwick harbour.
