Field Visit (4 November 1997)

NH53SW 27 5020 3077

Situated on the edge of a terrace overlooking Glenurquhart and to the SW of the modern steading at Achmony, there are the remains of a township comprising three ruinous rectangular buildings. They measure 16.2m to 10.1m in length by 4.3m to 3.7m in breadth and stand up to 0.4m in height. One of the buildings, which is aligned E-W, overlies an earlier building (at least 7.2m in length).
