NJ80SE 63 8821 0228

This intermediate station on the Great North of Scotland Rly. branch line from Aberdeen (Ferryhill Junc.) to Ballater ('the Deeside branch') was opened on 1 June 1897 by the GNoSR. It was grouped into the London and North-Eastern Rly. and closed on 5 April 1937.

Nothing is now visible of the railway buildings at Bieldside Station, but the platform, its sides faced with granite topped by an overhanging concrete edge, survives with only minor damage.
