Rhynie Parish Church, 1823; spire and other alterations, 1889, (?)R Duncan. The octagonal tower with slated spire (detached from otherwise plain T-plan building) is the dominant feature of the village square, and of the whole, understated village. Spire, clock and bell presented by James Symon of Melbourne. Nondescript manse, 1889, in south square. 12th-century font at entry; Pictish symbol stones, very eroded, on green opposite kirk.
