St Mary's Episcopal, High Street, nave 1841, James Ross. Curiously insubstantial west end owing to tall, narrow windows (the side ones are dummies) set in a gable front crowned by overgrown pinnacled bellcote. East end much

better with three tall, spaced lancets and enclosing hood-mould. The bishop turned down a design by a local builder, suggesting the church at Portsoy as a model. Chancel, 1857, William White of London. The glass dates from 1858 to 1945 and is very variable in quality; the Mitchell window of 1908, by the pulpit, with bold blues is excellent. The hall

housed St Mary's Episcopal school, with 64 children in 1892.
