Glasgow, 24th Feb. The RESTLESS (s. tug), from Greenock to Ardrossan, with 9 seamen of the ANN GRAY, lying at that port, on board, got ashore on Horse Isle 21st Feb., and went to pieces: no lives lost.

Glasgow, 25th Feb. Several pieces of wreck and a seaman's chest were washed on shore at Kilchattan Bay, Island of Bute, on the 21st Feb., supposed to have belonged to the RESTLESS (steam tug), from Greenock to Ardrossan, which was wrecked on Horse Island 21st Feb.

Registration: Greenock. Built 1851. 19 tons burthern. Length: 23m. Beam: 5m.

(Location of loss cited as N55 38.75 W4 50.5).
