(NG 4881 2365) In Harta Corrie a fierce encounter took place between the Macdonalds and the Macleods, who fought the entire day till not one Macleod was left, and the bodies of the slain were piled round the base of a huge rock, topped by a Rowan tree and still called the 'Bloody Stone'.

Site recorded during a detailed archaeological survey of the NW portion of the Strathaird Estate (Phase 3), commissioned by the John Muir Trust, carried out in the spring of 1998.
