Field Visit (1996)

The remains of a series of drystone rectangular structures and a possible corn-drying kiln are situated S of the A82. The structures are not shown on the c1800 map of the area.

At the W end of the group are the remains of a rectangular drystone structure [c8.2m by c5.8m across walls c0.2m high and spread to between c0.8m and c2.4m wide] aligned N-S. Two drystone dykes [spread to c1-1.5m wide and c0.3m high] are attached to this structure, running cW-E and cN-S turning to cW-E thereby creating three sides of an 'enclosure'. The fourth side was not evident. At the SE end of the S dyke are the remains of another rectangular drystone structure [c14.4m by c6.2m over walls c0.8m wide and c0.15m high] aligned W-E. Some 30m to the SW of these structures are the remains of a possible corn-drying kiln c4m in diameter.
