Bronze leaf-shaped sword, perfect, about 2' long, found in the moss of Lyndell (now Lynedale) near Loch Greshornish. Now in the British Museum.

(Ewart Park type - Northern step 1). Found in 1812 in a peat bog. Sword, length 66.70cm, terminal width 3.00cm, shoulder width 5.05cm, maximum blade width 4.00cm; well cast. Surface of blade badly corroded; bevel missing. Hilt in good condition apart from slight corrosion; messy khaki patina, rivets 2 : 2, none in situ. London, Antiquaries Mus. (B 10 b).

The RCAHMS Inventory (RCAHMS 1928) referenced by the Ordnance Survey in 1960, incorrectly states that the sword was in the British Museum rather than within the collections of the Society of Antiquaries of London (Ref: London, Antiquaries Mus. (B 10 b), see C B Burgess and I Colquhoun 1988).
