An as of Vespasian, a zoomorphic terminal were found here by J W Elliot. Two pieces of Samian pottery were found by a Bradford student whilst conducting a geophysical survey. The farmers wife is reported to have several Roman coins from the site.
Between January and June 1994, a small bronze 4th century coin, 5 sherds of Samian ware, 3 of black ware and an amphora rim were found by field-walking. Finds were retained by John Dent, Regional Archaeologist).

NT 545 255 Two sherds of Roman colour-coated pottery, recovered by fieldwalking near the cropmark site at Lilliesleaf, were donated to the National Museum of Scotland (NMS).
