Archaeology Notes

NH69SW 108 61629 91545

This site was visited during archaeological fieldwork and a desktop survey ahead of a proposed water mains renewal programme in the area. It was built by Andrew Maitland and opened in 1865 as Sutherland Combination Poorhouse. The building is still in use as a hospital and is in good condition.
