Field Visit (May 1983)

Glen Shellesder 1 NG 331 023 NG30SW

The remains of two huts, which may be of turf construction, are situated below the summit of a natural knoll. The larger hut is of two compartments and measures 7.2m by 5.3m over all; the smaller measures 4.4m by 3.8m over all. On the crest of the ridge 50m to the SSE a subrectangular hut occupies a shieling mound measuring 10.5m by 8m.
