An unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire, Islands of Rum, Sanday etc., 1879, sheet lx). An unroofed building and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).

Field Visit (May 1983)

Kilmory 2 NG 365 038 NG30SE

The remains of a single rectangular building and an enclosure are situated on the E side of Kilmory Glen, 400m ENE of the township of Kilmory (NG30SE 8). The building measures 8.7m by 3.4m within drystone walls 1.2m thick and up to 1m high, and a baffle wall protects the entrance, which is at the mid-point of the W wall; the enclosure has been formed against an unnamed burn and measures 7.7m by 6.8m internally.
