What may be an unroofed shieling-hut is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet l), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).

This possible shieling-hut, situated on a terrace (perhaps originally derived from outwash from the burn) above the Allt Beithe Garbh, was recorded during a survey of the West Affric estate by J Wordsworth for the National Trust for Scotland. The building is drystone-built with rounded corners and has a distinct batter to its walls narrowing from 0.7m wide at the base and standing up to 0.5m in height. It measures 8m from E to W by 3m with a 0.7m wide doorway centrally placed in the S wall. There is no evidence of a chimney.
At NH c.0675 2020, within a more fertile flush within the coarser grasslands, there is a circular feature measuring 2m in diameter within a single ring of stones c.0.3m thick. It is by no means certain what this feature is though it does appear to be man-made rather than natural in origin.

At NH 0688 2028 are the remains of a round-ended drystone building (WAFF023) aligned W/E measuring c8m by c3m over walls with a distinct batter c0.7m wide and 0.7m high.
Nearby, at NH 0675 2020, is a small drystone feature (WAFF022) 2m in diameter with the stones defining it being c0.3m wide and c0.1m high is sited in a grassy flush.
