Publication Account (2009)

The United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland in 1929 and formed a congregation known as the Queen Street Church. In 1942 the two Church of Scotland congregations were united, and in 1946 the old parish church of St Duthac (with a hall added in 1920) was sold to the town council, together with the manse and glebe; only the Queen Street manse was retained.

Information from ‘The Scottish Burgh Survey, Historic Tain: Archaeology and Development’, (2009).
