Among many examples with a familiar repertoire of decorative bargeboards, slated canopies, multi-paned mullions, hoodmoulds and oversailing eaves, are: Acharn Farmhouse, 1892, a pair of dwellings with cement render lined out to resemble ashlar; Claggan School/ schoolhouse, 1877-8, now shorn of its slated bellcote fleche; a terrace of six workers' houses at Larachbeg, 1875, and the adjacent Laundry, its coppers, heated drying cabinets, sinks, stove and other original fittings still in situ. Many of Barham's estate workers' cottages can now be rented for holidays.
