Obelisk, 1816, commemorating the bravery of Col. John Cameron, a distinguished member of this family who perished at Quatre Bras, the opening encounter of the Battle of Waterloo. His military prowess is described by Walter Scott on a marble plaque mounted onto the corniced plinth that supports the ashlar column.
